Soft Tissue Therapy
What Does A Soft Tissue Therapist Do?
I assess, treat, and rehabilitate injuries, musculoskeletal imbalances, and posture. I use massage, neuromuscular techniques, and assisted stretching to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. I may use or recommend rehabilitative exercise to stretch and strengthen particular muscles.
What Are The Soft Tissues Of The Body?
The soft tissues of the body include muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue/fascia. Imbalances or dysfunction in these tissues can affect range of movement, posture, and functional capacity. This can lead to pain and/or injury.
Every Body Is Different
At Reset we consider the bigger picture of injuries. Your therapist is trained to assess your musculoskeletal system and tailor treatment to your body’s individual needs and context. This approach enables your therapist to tackle the cause of soft tissue dysfunction as well as treating the symptoms
